Tulle brand clothing's Fall Winter collection

Pea coats have been receiving more recognition over the last few years and rightfully so. This classic silhouette looks chic and stylish and is suited to almost anyone, regardless of their fashion leanings. The pea coat started life as standard issue for the navy. Pea Coats are typically double-breasted, made from heavy worsted wool and usually have vertical slash pockets. They also normally have impossibly large lapels, although today’s Tulle wool pea coats have slimmed down slightly in the transfer from the high seas. Pea Coats are also showing up on the runway, being flogged by many major designers like Marc Jacobs and labels such as Burberry. Besides being a snappy visual, pea coats are amazingly warm. It’s no wonder that sailors have been wearing this design for hundreds of years!

This is a very versatile wardrobe option that anyone can pull off. Pea Coats such as these can be either beautifully androgynous (think with an Englishman’s hat and your best cigarette pants, with leather boots or patent shoes) or quite feminine (perhaps with a mid-thigh length skirt with embellishments and colored stockings); all depending on the cut of the pea coat and what pieces you pair it with. And it’s the best way to look fabulous without sacrificing comfort! I would rather show up to the club with an ultra chic wool pea coat over my outfit than stand in line looking rather sad, shivering to death. So ladies, it’s time for you to find that perfect pea coat!

This most important thing to consider when shopping for your winter trench coat is fit. You want a pea coat that is not too small to move around in, but you do want a pea coat that emphasizes the waist line. Full-length sleeves should reach the bottom of your wrists. Height wise, longer pea coats tend to look better on taller women; however, there are some mid-length pea coats that can give that same feel to a shorter woman.

Once you get past the fit, there’s room for endless fun. Countless styles of pea coats are offered in every color and shade imaginable on the market today, and it would be near impossible not to find something you adore. I am particularly partial to an up-and-comer brand: Sweden-based Tulle.

Tulle is a word no longer limited to that gauzy stuff that goes under prom dresses. This is a line of clothing that hits the perfect mid-range between falling apart after twelve months and ridiculously, rent priced expensive.

Though they offer a full line of clothing, it's Tulle's pea coats that really have me checking my closet to see if there's any room left. I know it is the middle of July and no one wants to think about the chilly months of fall and winter, but I am anticipating the first shipment of beautiful Tulle Pea Coats, due this August. UrbanMinx.com carried these beauties last fall and winter and you simply couldn’t order them fast enough to get one. This coming fall season’s collection promises to be just as, if not more, unbelievably gorgeous.

Bright colors and classic shapes that include lots of 1950s peter pan collars, a-line cuts, and bracelet sleeves in rich autumn hues (think eggplant, tomato, crème, black, and evergreen) make for a truly wonderful look. Even better, the prices are in the $80-$150.00 range that other brands no longer seem to think are their target market.

joes jeans

Joe Dahan, a laidback Californian created Joe’s Jeans, a cutting edge premium denim brand in the spring of 2001. After several years of experience in the denim industry, Joe decided to branch out on his own to develop a women’s designer denim brand with styles perfect for any woman, rightfully named, Joe’s Jeans. Hand craftsmanship and European techniques set the brand ahead of others by keeping the styles classic and refined, and not following the fads of the year.

The eight denim styles available from Joes Jeans have fitting names like Joes Jeans Twiggy, for the slender build, Joes Jeans Starlet, Joes Jeans Rocker, Joes Jeans Lover, Joes Jeans Socialite, Joes Jeans Muse, Joes Jeans Provocateur, and Joes Jeans Honey for curvier women. Each style offers a different fit for different body types, making it possible for any body type to wear Joe’s Jeans.

going green with clothing

In today’s world, we cannot only think of the present anymore. We have to think about our future, as well as our children’s’ future. How do we do this you ask? Recycling. It’s simple, recycle a piece of paper here, a plastic container there, and we’ve already helped in a bigger way than you might think. If everyone in the world were to recycle even just one piece of paper instead of throwing it away, that would add up very fast, and in turn contributing to the big picture. Issues like global warming are steadily destroying out planet, but can be hindered by simple routine tasks like recycling or even reusing a shopping bag, rather than getting a new one to just throw away later.

The world of apparel has even begun to show interest in the green movement. Companies such as Patagonia and Timberland have been creating new methods of producing apparel, with use of recycled products to use in the materials for their clothing. Even couture designers have jumped in with this trend to produce fashionable, yet environmentally friendly clothing. So you no longer have any reason to avoid doing your part to help the environment, because now there’s even a way for you to look great and still be eco-friendly.

7 For All Mankind

7 For All Mankind was founded in 2000, by Michael Glasser, Peter Koral, and Jerome Dahan. The name came about because of the idea that most Americans have 7 pairs of jeans in their closet at one time. The brand has also been nicknamed “Sevens” by fashion editors and stylists.

Throughout the years, 7 For All Mankind has grown in the fashion industry as a leader in couture denim. The brand is set apart from the competition with superior fit, high-end fabrics and finishes, and unique washes and designs. Instead of having that one pair of favorite jeans, why not have all 7 of them be, with 7 For All Mankind.
